@tendele7 That is the question. How can the government allow this? The Government created this. They could repeal one treasury regulation and this would all be over. They took the power away from the states and here we are. This is the single biggest problem in this country. Not housing not health care. Credit card debt.

Think about it. If the interst rate is 33% compounding plus penalties you will be paying your debt off every two and a half years. Many seven years later are paying off the debt.
Its slavery. How can a government allow this usuary?

Because a person who has just filed bankruptcy does not owe money to anyone. Therefore they are a better credit risk then somebody who has not fied but has a lot of debt.

I truly don’t get this. Why are CC companies targeting people who filed bankruptcy? Is it a trap to charge you fees and interest to “get back” the money they lost when you filed Chapter 7/11?

    Right on!

Dump the credit card companies, and the banks!!

Use credit unions instead!! Not only does your $ stay local, it is non-profit, free shared branching across the nation–stats that a bank fails to even try to practice, and even if you apply for a credit card again–through a credit union, if you are declined, then you’ll know you truly don’t need it yet….

I wish I would have filed 4 1/2 yrs ago when I had $16k in past debt–still paying it off, and my credit is no better now

why not just cash and carry or just use your debit car. stop buying things on finance and live a simpler life. the people in power will kill to keep this debt prison type system. tell me what good or service do they provide that actually helps grow the american gdp-nothing!

Yes good video! The credit card companies have been over lending in order to trap people into the high interest/minimum payment trap. Now that the $&£* has hit the fan they are whining about the losses that they will make.I will spend the rest of my life warning people about borrowing on credit cards!

After losing my house in foreclosure, its been awful w/my credit cards. A card that had 40k now has 2k in credit?. Every 2months my cards decrease, so i been just payin minimun payment to keep my credit limit high!…pretty much they want me to start again.
